How often do NPDB passwords expire?

If your account uses multi-factor authentication, or MFA, you will no longer need to maintain an NPDB password. If you have not yet linked to MFA, your NPDB password expires every 55 days. The password for your selected MFA service will not expire.

Note: You may have a separate Querying and Reporting XML Service (QRXS) password if your organization uses credentialing software or third-party software to submit queries or reports. Learn more about QRXS passwords.
