What is a Self-Query?

The Self-Query service searches the NPDB to see if the information an individual or entity provides in a Self-Query request matches any report information stored in the NPDB. The response to a Self-Query request may show that no information was found in the NPDB, or it may show that information about a medical malpractice payment, adverse licensure action, adverse clinical privilege action, Medicare/Medicaid exclusion, and/or judgment or conviction report was found. If such information is found, the Self-Query response will include a copy of all report information.
