How do I update the preferred payment method in my personal account?
When purchasing an annual subscription you have the option to save your credit or debit card information within your personal account. When the card is saved as the preferred payment method, it will display as the default payment method for your orders. Update this information at any time.
To update the preferred payment method:
- Select Sign In on the top right of the NPDB home page, then select Personal Account.
- On the Self-Query/View Your Report Sign In page, select Sign in.
- Sign in to your personal account with your ID.me email and password.
- Select Your Account in your personal account.
- Select the Subscription tab.
- Select Add a card to replace an expired card, or select Edit or remove this card to update or remove it.
- When the action on your card is complete, select Save.
- Select Exit on the preferred payment confirmation page, or choose Edit to change your payment method again.
If you remove your preferred payment method, automatic subscription renewal is not available. To enable automatic subscription renewal, you must have a saved card on file.
