Billing & Fees

The NPDB does not receive federal funding (appropriations). Instead, Federal law requires NPDB to cover its cost of operations by charging fees. The U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services announces any fee changes in the Federal Register.

Self-Query

Create a personal account at no cost. A $3.00 annual subscription allows you unlimited access to the latest certified Self-Query response. You can download the response and save it to your device. Mailed paper copies of Self-Queries are an additional $13.00 each.
